MARILYN MANSON: Caught In A Marsh
December 24, 2003Norway's Nettavisen is reporting that MARILYN MANSON's concert in Stockholm, Sweden was nearly cancelled as a trailer containing 30 tons of his equipment went off the road and ended up in a marsh Friday morning (Dec. 19).
According to the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, the roads were very slippery when the trailer went off the road close to the Swedish town of Årjäng, located about 130 km southeast of Oslo, just after 4 a.m.
One person was sent to the hospital with fracture injuries, but the individual was released a short time later, according to Tore Persson, on-duty commander in Värmland.
The work of trying to get the trailer out of the marsh was very time-consuming and the crew raced against time as Manson was scheduled to perform live in concert at Johanneshovs in Stockholm Friday night. The shock-rocker played for about 5,000 people in Oslo Thursday night (Dec. 18).
